SEQUENCES

SEQUENCES = series of objects or sculptures

These works extend the generative logic that runs throughout the practice into physical space. Each sculptural series begins from a core structure that is repeated through incremental variation. Placed in proximity, these forms allow subtle shifts in proportion, orientation, and internal organization to become perceptible across the group.

Through repetition, the sculptures reveal how recognition emerges and drifts across iterations. Individual works may suggest bodies, signals, architectural fragments, or symbolic structures, but none resolve completely on their own. Meaning develops relationally as the viewer moves through the sequence.

These sequences function as spatial systems rather than isolated objects. By placing variations side by side, the work makes visible the gradual process through which forms become recognizable. Repetition stabilizes perception, allowing certain forms to acquire weight and authority within the field. A seemingly singular work can operate as a sequence when it acts as a node within a larger field of possible variations.

In this way, the sculptures explore the same procedural logic that shapes the drawings, but in three dimensions. Rather than translating specific images into objects, the series investigates how generative variation, proximity, and repetition organize perception and allow forms to accumulate authority.
